what about side boards for all bombers lol

Let's go with sprint car wings and Hoosier tires

I'm just kidding. Ran this setup at Fremont's run what ya brung. Special thanks to Mark Shultz for the wing and Bob Rendel for the tires. Made the car go bad FAST!

I dunno, I had a pretty strong preference for my board :)

The Hoosier tire deal Lima and Waynesfield allowed DID save me money.  I've been on the same tires for two seasons now.  (PS, the ones photoed above were dug out of Ron Miller's junk pile!

Incase no one has noticed the A main bombers are not bombers anymore. oakshade should split that class into 2 classes. a bomber and prostock class instead of a sport compact class. the car count would be more than 5-8 sport compacts. then the hornet drivers would have a class to move up to that could be affordable and rear wheel drive.  :P

There was bound to be no more cars left that are bombers and this should have been seen some time ago. The type of rear drive car that was required stopped being produced in the 90s. What the Oakshade "bomber" class car is has morphed into a purpose built race car. This is the only safe and correct way to continue this class IMO. Given enough time ALL of these cars will be purpose built cars not based on a production body/chassis, and that is as it should be.

I personally think just consider the bombers run what ya brung. If ya  made enough last year to equip that bomber with a Vic Hill do it.Hoosier tires should be good to go and I did see a sprint car wing on the post heck yea thats good.I think I would go with one of the old wedge body styles.Yep thats our bombers  ::)

I'm kind of like-in that MD3 nose on "Slide job's" Bomber.. I could go for one of those. Maybe someone who was at the banquit could tell us if any changes were announced??

They didn't announce any rule changes at the banquet. They said they'd post them on here. She said there were only minor changes. They were still working to finalize everything. I heard through the grapevine that track to the north ok'd headers and dual plane aluminum intakes in the stock class. OSR might not be "where the fastest meet to race" much longer.

While bloomerfan is clearly tongue-in-cheek here his statement is not entirely a joke. The OSR bomber class has pretty much become the "B Sportsman" class. I suspect you see this at all the tracks in the Rust Belt. I see this as pretty healthy though. The cars are more safe for drivers because of this. There is nothing cheap about having to go to NC to get a nice,non-rusty Monte Carlo body.It makes little sense to purchase OEM body panels also when aluminum is readily available. The rules everywhere will change to be more like the OSR car I think.......... No wings though please .
