If it's not rusty my guess would be 0p, Bradley, or Dave marko

I will have to see if I can find the years when Larry Yantis won so many races. Kris won 16 or 17 races one year, but not all at Oakshade.

I'm pretty sure that it's Yantis. You've gotta remember that for a few years we raced Fri. and Sat. nights..

Glen Bradley won quiet a few at Oakshade for awhile. Then I think a bounty was put on him and that's when KP showed up.

Pretty sure it would be KP. I remember one Australian pursuit about 94 or so where he passed every car in the race in 2 laps! He was dominant. I think 91 would have a tough time doing that in a pursuit today. Strangely though Patterson was not booed at Oakshade ever like Rusty is today. They were/are both great drivers. Yantis ,Bradley and Shane Yoder also had seasons with big win streaks too.

Nothing like a circle of dirt

Trust me when I tell you that KP got plenty of boos at Oakshade the last few years he raced here. He was on much like Rusty is now. He always got a lucky draw and started up front. Folks just hated it and would walk up to the fence and say things that made me blush when they used to take pics on the front stretch. lol

I dont think Marko won as many races at Oakshade but boy was that guy dominant at Bryan for about 3 years Bradley had a big string one year and Yantis well he was just plain hard to beat at the shade

yantis was hard to beat at a lot of places back in late 80's.  mansfeild he was almost untouchable, millstream was his house, and oakshade was another dominant.  If i was to put a year to it i would say 87 or 88 when he ran for McCullough Motorsports in the black/white with orange #42.  Can recall him winning by races by more then half a track and i think he snagged the appleseed that year.

I did a search of past appleseed winners and found nothing, anyone know a link to show past results?  I know the race has been around for years and used to be a very prestigious event until the new eldora took it over.  There used to be some great runners in that race.

wow, dont know whether to say thanks for the link or thanks for making me feel old.  didnt realize is was more like 84/85 when i watched him win.  After seeing that list i had to have watched larry since we always attended the mansfeild appleseed, i guess my memory just isnt as good as i thought it should be.  Them were some great late model racing years in the 80's!!!!  I think competition is tougher these days locally due to every thing being even from car to motor (box shelf basically).  I thought about eldora having a possible link but didnt recall ever seeing it so just didnt look there.  thanks for taking the time to do so for me.
