17. Points and Point Funds
17.1. Finish Points:
17.1.1. A- Main Feature Point distribution:
1st _ 75 6th - 50 11th- 40 16th- 35 21st_ 30
2nd _ 70 7th 48 12th- 39 17th - 34 22nd _ 29
3rd _ 65 8th- 46 13th- 38 18th- 33 23rd - 28
4th _ 60 9th - 44 14th - 37 19th - 32 24th - 27
5th _ 55 10th- 42 15th - 36 20th - 30 25th- 26
..
(Points drop by one point for positions 26 to 40 more than 25 starters IS approved)
17.1 .2. Drivers not in A main feature will receive 10 Finish Points.
17.1 .3. 2010 point season begins on January 1,2010.
17.1.4. Only a driver's highest Finish Points race will be counted each week for events January 1 to March 31,2010.
1 7.1.5. All races will count toward accumulated points April 1, 2010 to October 3, 2010.
17.1.6. 2010 point season will conclude following all events originally scheduled on or before October 5, 2008, The exception is an "An feature that s postponed due to weather, which must be completed in 14 days from original raoe date but may not be held during or after the National Champimship event(s).
17.1.7. Western region(s) or state points max continue past October 5, but only for Regional/State points and events must be completed by NO/ember 14 ,and points will include Championship event November 19/20.
17.1.8. For any event to award points, a sanction agreement must be in plaoe. Added events must be approved 10 days prior to the event.
17.2. Bonus Points
17.2.1. Bonus Points of one (1) point for every car over 20 entered in the event will be awarded at each race. The maximum Bonus Points awarded is 10 per race; Bonus Points are awarded to A-Main feature event participants only.
17.3. Events Points
17.3.1. Event Points are described as the combination total of Finish Points and Bonus Points for a given race.
17.4. Replacement Races
17.4.1. The driver may begin replacing Event Points after the driver completes the minimum number of races.
17.4.2. Minimum number of races before Event Points may be replaoed:
Late Model 35 races
Modified 25 races
Pro Late Mode 15 races
Sportsman 15 races
Limited Modifieds 15 races
Stock Car 15 races
Factory Stock 15 races
4 cylinders 15 races
17.4.3. Replaoement races start with a driver's lowest Event Points race.
17.4.4. A driver will never lose points with a replaoement.
17.5. Distribution of Point Funds
17.5.1. DIRTcar will distribute the Drivers Point Fund to each eligible Member driver according to the posted awards.
You must be a member.
17.5.2. All ties will be broken by using the greatest number of 1st place finishes during the season. If a tie still exists, the number of 2nd. 3rd, etc. will be used in the same manner, until the tie is broken.
17.5.3. Eligibility to participate in the point fund may te forfeited by any Member violating DIRTrnr Rules.
17.5.4. All races must have 10 or more cars entered in order to receive full points, If a race has 9 or less cars their points will be reduoed 10% for each car.9=90% 8=80% etc, etc, etc.
17.5.5. Track may be allowed to run more than 1 feature event per night for any division, Each feature must pay at least the same purse as a weekly show and each feature will be required to PCV a additional sanction fee. "Double" features must be approved in advance.
